Although it's been said many times, many ways
Even though it's not yet Christmas, I can't help but think of the phrase, "although it's been said, many times, many ways." To be honest, I think of that phrase every time I sit down to write a thank you note to someone who has given to our organization. I think of it when I recognize the hard work and dedication one of our interns has given to their work in the field. And I think of it when I talk with our partners in person and on Skype and I see how tirelessly they strive to uphold our principles and achieve our shared vision.
I suppose that phrase comes to me because saying "thank you" has been done over and over and over again, and I can't quite find a new way to say it. But maybe that's not the point. Maybe I don't need to say it in a new way. Maybe the old way works just fine.
So, as I'm headed out the door to join my family around the Thanksgiving table. Before I jump in the car to join the holiday rush, I wanted to take a moment to say this oft-repeated, but humble and heartfelt phrase and express my gratitude to all of you, our supporters and partners:
